We continue here to explore the ways in which the atheist is at war within himself by focusing on his attempts to build a moral system on the shifting sands of a naturalist worldview. Again, the atheist can say there is no God and that universe consists entirely of brute physical particles, but he cannot square this view of things with what he knows to be true about himself -- in this case his knowledge that moral law exists and that right and wrong are real.
